The Inn South Stainley is situated just 6 miles from Ripon, Harrogate and Knaresborough and nestled in the Yorkshire countryside yet with easy access to local tourist spots and city destinations including York, Harrogate & Wetherby.

A uniquely independent & stylish Yorkshire Inn with 12 bedrooms, The Inn South Stainley offers a wonderful overnight experience, each room tastefully decorated with a mix of classic furnishings and contemporary style including fluffy bath robes (in our Lodge Superior King Rooms), luxury products, Egyptian cotton bedding and complimentary Wifi and car parking.

You can relax in the Country pub and bar area at the heart of The Inn which offers classic and contemporary interiors, relaxed seating and open fires. Enjoy country pub classic food dishes including daily specials and fine wines, cocktails, real ales and craft beer.

Head Chef Shane White and his team have created a menu inspired by the seasons and resources and celebrates the amazing produce North Yorkshire has to offer.

Set in over an acre of grounds there are some stunning spots to sit and enjoy the local scenery or enjoy breakfast on your personal bedroom veranda in our Lodge Superior King rooms. We are dog friendly in the Bar area (pre booking required) and accommodation areas (Lodge Superior King Rooms only and by request), we also include some little doggy luxuries!

Parking is FREE for everyone using The Inn South Stainley.

Simply enter your car registration on entry to The Inn which will last for the duration of the day. This control was introduced so we can safeguard the spaces for our paying customers (it was over used due to the number 36 bus stop over the years).

Country Pub

Arrive at the very heart of The Inn into our Country Pub, enjoy the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere of the stylish and contemporary décor, surroundings and soft furnishings. Cosy open fires throughout the Country Pub make it an ideal location for dining, cocktails, drinking or just enjoying a coffee and the morning paper. With a true passion for food and drink combined with great service, dining from our extensive menu and wine list is available in all areas of The Inn, gardens and large patio areas to the rear – where you can sit and enjoy the local scenery and let the world go by!

Open daily for morning coffee and breakfast from 8am, lunch and dinner.

Comfortable, elegant and stylish Private Dining room at The Inn South Stainley is a stunning room boasting views of the grounds and mature gardens, with menus that are inspired by the seasons and really resources and celebrates the amazing produce Yorkshire has to offer.

Our kitchen team are led by Head Chef Shane White while the Front of House brigade are directed by General Manager Joanna. The team will do everything possible to ensure you have an exceptional experience.

Our wine list is a bespoke collection of luxurious and individual wines, The array of wines selected is designed to complement and enhance the imaginative cuisine created by our award winning kitchen team, who select only the best, seasonal produce from local suppliers.

Our luxury rooms are perfect for a romantic break, weekend getaway or overnight retreat after dinner. Offering a mix of classic furnishings with contemporary style, choose between our in-house Classic Double or Classic King Rooms or one of our Lodge Superior King Rooms in the Shooting Lodge, these are located in our mature grounds and gardens, offering peace and tranquillity, fluffy robes, slippers, gun cabinets and private outside terraces.
